"Nong Jhangjhihsi" and "Nong Wa" are from "The Book of Songs". "Jhang" is one of e jade in ancient time." Wa" is the spindle which is made of mud. The original meaning of "Nòng zhāng" is giving birth to boys who can play with jade;"Nong Wa" is giving birth to girls can play with spindle and hope she can do well with needlework. Nowadays, giving birth to boys is "Nong Jhang";"Nong Wa" means giving birth to girls.
